Accessing Choices In Education

The TM ACE Programs goal is to inform and engage students in a range of evidence-based, culturally relevant services that effectively support each student in pursuing their personal plan of success, which meets each individual’s needs, goals, and readiness to pursue college and career development.

Through participation in the TM ACE Program, students will have access to the following services:

Academic Skills Building w/ Sylvan Learning

• Online. Based on student availability. Min of 2 hours/week.

College / Career Prep

• Application support with college, scholarship, and FAFSA
• Various workshops and 1-on-1 meeting throughout the academic year. Based on student requests.

ACT Test Prep & Registration

Dual Credit & Early Entry Tuition Aid

Online Tutoring (available soon!)

Activities

• Academic/Cultural* Enrichment. Activities will be posted and promoted.

Tours

• Academic/Cultural* Enrichment. Activities will be posted and promoted.
• *Cultural activities and tours are organized by cultural coordinators. Information will be posted for open workshops, activities, and tours for eligible student

Request for Services

Services require enrollment or descendent documentation.

Services are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

TM ACE Program families can request new service options be added.

Eligibility

Native youth in grades 9th-12th.

Youth residing on or near the Turtle Mountain Reservation.

Student Plan of Success

Students requesting services will need to have on a file a Plan of Success.Download and complete or a staff member will provide a copy to fill out when meeting with families.

The Plan of Success will serve as a guide for student needs assessment, goal development, and coordinated pursuit towards college/career training success throughout the student’s high school years. The Plan of Success will guide student services and direct staff to connect family with necessary supports.
