and Data Privacy Programs in the Nation

Welcome to the TMCC Cyber Defense & Data Privacy Center

The Cyber Defense and Data Privacy programs prepare students for entry-level positions in cybersecurity and data privacy. Graduates will be prepared to become leaders in cybersecurity, with a solid understanding of security technology and privacy laws, preparing them to make knowledgeable and responsible decisions. The program also offers students a transfer option to four-year institutions.

According to the Cyber Crime Magazine, the top 10 percent of cybersecurity analysts make over $117,000 per year, while the median annual salary is $76,000. New data indicates that of all IT jobs, cybersecurity engineers- with an average annual salary of $140,000- were the highest paying and most recruited heading into 2019.

Our Programs

Bachelor of Applied Science

A Bachelor of Applied Science in Cyber Defense prepares students with the skills to defeat real-world cyber threats and cyberattacks. The curriculum encompasses both defensive and offensive cybersecurity techniques and concepts. Students will develop the knowledge and skills to work in security operations roles.

Associate of Applied Science

The AAS in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy prepares students for entry-level positions in cybersecurity and data privacy. Graduates will be prepared to become leaders in cybersecurity, with a solid understanding of security technology and privacy laws, preparing them to make knowledgeable and responsible decisions. The program also offers students a transfer option to four-year institutions.

9-Month
Certificate

The 9-month certificate in cybersecurity prepares individuals for demanding positions in public and private sectors overseeing, operating, or protecting critical computer systems, information, networks, infrastructures and communications networks.
