Student Support Services: Purpose

Student Support Services is an academic support program that assists students to initiate, continue, or resume their college education. We are prepared to assist the student in overcoming the wide variety of difficulties that trouble our student body (such as an inadequate educational background).

Goals

  • Increase retention, academic capabilities and graduate rate of TMCC students.
  • Increase the transfer rate of TMCC students from two-year to four-year institutions.
  • Foster an institution climate supportive of the success of economically disadvantaged, first generation and physical handicapped TMCC students.

We realize that from time to time many students encounter problems in school, which may affect their academic success. Seeking assistance from our staff can solve these problems.
