Irene LaFontaine-Bear Runner is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa.

• Work experience: 18 years of counseling and 17 years of clerical, administrative and management. Places of employment have been with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Indian Health Services, Tribal & State governments, military, United Tribes and the Turtle Mountain Community College. Employed at United Tribes Technical College for ten years and TMCC for ten years.
