Virginia P. Allery, Ph.D. has sixteen years of teaching experience in higher education with expertise in teacher education, cultural studies, and American Indian Studies. She’s also taught in the elementary, middle school and high school grades. Her professional goals are to promote culturally responsive teaching, best teaching practices, and systemic change. Her doctorate is in reading (viewed through the disciplines of cognitive psychology and linguistics) from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the Turtle Mountain Chippewa Tribe.
