Jamie R. Robbins, Ph.D. has 12 years of teaching and research experience in higher and secondary education. Her professional goals include exploring the role diversity (cultural, pedagogical, gender and economic) plays in fostering learning in communities, as well as developing science and education courses that immerse pre-service teachers in student-centered, inquiry-based environments. Her doctorate in cell biology was completed at The University of New Mexico on the influence of mechanical forces on cellular differentiation and embryonic development. She is a two-spirit of Mohawk descent.
