Mr. Pfahl is a member of the mathematics department at Turtle Mountain Community College, located on the Turtle Mountain Chippewa Reservation in North Dakota, where he has taught courses ranging from Basic Mathematics to Calculus I for 7 years. Prior to this, he taught high school mathematics at Turtle Mountain Community High School for 12 years. During his 7 years at TMCC, he has been either PI, Co-PI or Project Director of several grants including grants from DOE-MSIEP, ONR, NASA, AIHEC and NSF. A common theme throughout most of his grant activities includes developing culturally relative science/technology/engineering/mathematics related materials to be used during summer and academic year camps for students in grades 6-14. Miles received his B.S. in education from Valley City State University, Valley City, ND and his Master of Science in Teaching from the University of Wyoming, Laramie.
