Salary: Grade 7- range: base = $34,640.00 to 38,640.00: (depending on experience- up to 5 years allowed)

Education and Experience:
This position requires a Master’s degree in science education or related educational field with three years experience in Higher Education. Doctoral degree preferred.

Summary of Work:
Manage the Native Ways of Knowing Project so that the program and budgetary goals of the program are realized. The administrative duties include monitoring the grant proposal budget, keeping cuff accounts, working collaboratively with the science educators and teacher education staff and faculty, recruitment of students and faculty, dissemination of materials, outreach to the schools, writing reports, collecting formative and summative data and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Meet the program goals and objectives of all the Native Ways of Knowing Science Teacher Training project.
  • Advise teacher candidates in the project.
  • Recruit teacher candidates for the upcoming Cohort 11.
  • Organize and coordinate project objectives among the three tribal colleges involved.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the project with the Chairperson of the Teacher Education Dept.
  • Collaborate with academic dean in his supervision of project faculty.
  • Prepare budgets, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Prepare and monitor project budget in accordance with established institutional and funding guidelines.
  • Collect formative and summative data and coordinate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data for purposes of project evaluation.
  • Contribute to TMCC’s strong relationships with school districts, other educational institutions, and agencies, with specific attention to the professional development needs of STEM area teachers.
  • Serving on institutional committees.
  • Present to the schools in the Rolette and Bottineau Counties as part of the STEM outreach effort of the project.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.
