Desired Experience/Training/Credentials:
- Experience as a program director for college level student programs.
- Knowledge of computer science curriculum and instruction.
- Teaching experience in community college setting, and knowledge of its role in higher education.
- Teaching experience with culturally and academically diverse student population.
- Ability to implement contemporary pedagogical philosophies, methods, and techniques, including multi-media to develop and deliver instruction in classroom and lab settings.
- Ability to develop instructional activities, course syllabi, course outlines and other necessary teaching material.
- Ability to effectively use appropriate technology and equipment.
- Ability to work collegially with all individuals in the tribal college setting.
- Demonstrates commitment to professional development.
- Applicant must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as project director for the MSEIP program.
- Serve as a liaison for the project to TMCC, the Tribe and community.
- Coordinate program activities including degree development with Valley City State University.
- Instruct in at the following area: Computer Science.
- Prepare course materials, effective teaching methodologies, and informed critical feedback on assignments and discussions; conduct student assessment to measure effectiveness of instruction.
- Maintain office hours; participate in department and institutional meetings and committees.
- To do research in content areas as applicable to position and TMCC.
- Develop and follow a “Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP)” as prescribed by TMCC’s faculty salary policy manual.
- To accept TMCC committee(s) assignments and other related contract-delineated responsibilities as specified in contract.

TMCC’s MSEIP program is designed to expand opportunities for Native American student to pursue undergraduate degrees in computer science through the development of two and four-year degree programs in computer science. In the development of the computer science degree programs; TMCC has elected to utilize a strategic partnership with Valley City State University.
